If reports are to be believed, Farooq will now join Infosys’ arch rival Wipro.
It is reportedly said that Shaji Farooq has been working in Infosys for the last ten years and has over 20 years of industry experience. Under Farooq’s guidance, Infosys was earning majority of its revenues from Financial Services and North America.
Market watchers added, Farooq's exit is the latest in a series of senior-level exits at Infosys in the last one year. Besides Farooq, other top executives who quit Infosys in the last one year include board member Mohandas Pai, sales head Subhash Dhar and Infosys BPO COO Ritesh Idnani.
Infosys declined to comment on the exit, stating that it will not comment on individual movements. On the other hand, a spokesperson from Wipro stated that the company would come back with a response very soon.
So, stay tunes to get an official statement on this.
