ASIRT is actively taking up the task of conducting Techday for its members who are a part of the System Integrator (SI) and Retail community. The association until now organised four consecutive evolutionary sessions where the industry gurus discussed and upheld different problems and their ways to resolve those.
But this time, ASIRT Techday held in August had some compelling messages for the IT system integrators across India that actually stirred them into action. ASIRT not only made a bold statement but also demonstrated that IT System Integrators and Retailers need to be careful about their finances.
The event started with the presentation of the Virtual CFO, Prakash Agarwal, who clearly brought out the problem areas for retailers & service providers and shared with them tips and mantras for success. His research and analysis showed that most partners keep playing the price game as their major USP. In his presentation he focused on the value additions and add-ons as one of their survival strategies of the Partners.
The second phase of the event was conducted exclusively for the owners of IT System Integration and Retail companies. ASIRT President Kshitij M Kotak, through his presentation “Swear by the Deep Sea” posed many questions on several regular business practices, followed by trends, methods of work, hard mentality amongst others. He questioned almost every fundamental aspect that plagues the IT Support industry.
The session narrated the story of an IT System Integrator to show exactly how financial miscalculation misled his business into mere existence. The story went on to unveil a module of The Deep Sea Method based on which that SI revived his business. By calculating his real costs, it made him realize how he could get out of the quicksand to get to run a successful and profitable business.
As expected, the audience was livid as they admitted openly within the forum that they were making the same misleading calculations and falling way short of their expected profitability.
