The campaign is aimed at taking feedback from its partners on its services and several other issues

Dell is currently focussed on strengthening its partner interactivity and taking the brand closer to them. To make this happen, it has recently started a 58-city campaign that has basically seen Dell teams going and meeting Dell partners personally and taking their feedback on the actual working of the market.

The campaign now in its final leg has come down to Delhi to carry out a similar exercise among its partners here. Several teams have been formed and allocated to visit different parts of the city and taking firsthand knowledge from Dell dealers on several parameters. The Dell team visiting Nehru Place clad in Navy-blue T-shirts bearing Dell Logos, were spotted all throughout the market place and going to Dell dealers, mostly multi-retail outlets. Some of the multi-retail outlets visited are Contec Systems, Vivid IT Solutions, R J Computers and Microtek.

Some of the common feedbacks received from the dealers were issues concerning the high Warranty extension pricing followed, the high pricing of Dell laptops failing to appeal to mass customers that is in turn impacting sales and many more. Sandesh Agarwal of Contec Systems also put across his demand for In Store Demonstrators (ISD) trained by Dell to be stationed in MBOs.

“The problems and issues will vary from partner to partner. This campaign is designed to hit at all those problems at a grass-root level and taking an exact idea of what steps to take to further tackle them. This will also help us in devising strategies in future – whether it is related to tech-support, warranty issues, pricing or service concerns,” explains Kush Kher, RM – North, Dell.

While interacting with ITPV, Sanjay Yadav, Director – Dell who was there with the team visiting Nehru Place says,

“We have till now visited cities like Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Kolkata and have evoked good responses from partners. This is the first of its kind exercise that none of our contemporaries have tried and we are going to continue with it in future as well.”

Dell distributors – Manu Kaushik of Global Infonet Distribution Pvt Ltd, Vibhor Agarwal of Supertron Electronics and Madhur Madhav of Vidhur & Company were present to support the Dell team in its initiative. “We are here to support Dell wholeheartedly in this exercise. We would in fact encourage other principal vendors to come up with such practices,” says Vibhor Agarwal, Director Marketing – Supertron Electronics.
