The 1st phase was done in association with Intel between 15th to 27th June and covered the cities of Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Indore, Lucknow, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Ahmedabad. The 2nd phase was done in association with Microsoft from 14th to 24th August and covered Surat, Mangalore, Bhubaneshwar and Siliguri. In all, over 700 partners attended these meets and most were impressed with the new range of ASUS Desktops.

“These meets were held to create awareness about our new desktop range amongst the IT channel in India. Branded desktop market has not seen much action in the mid or performance segment and is so far primarily been a price driven market catering to low end buyers. Our aim is to educate partners about our concept of value based selling and urging them to cater to the needs of the niche audiences within their markets. We will build on this momentum and have more activities planned for successful channel penetration in this segment,” commented Vinay Shetty – Country Head – Component Business, ASUS (India) about these partner meets.

ASUS desktops are being well received in the Indian market for their design, quality, features and innovation and are fulfilling the demand for branded quality desktops for discerning enthusiasts. The models ASUS is currently selling in the market include CM6731 (PDC), CM6731 (i3), CM6830 (i5), CG8250 (i5), CG8270 (i7) and CG8580 (i7). These also deploy new technologies like new unique thermal designs and instant over clocking options and are also made to undergo extreme reliability tests. ASUS also announced the launch of their new upcoming model CM6431 (PDC) during these meets. ASUS desktops were found to be leading in overall satisfaction with reliability based on PCWorld USA 2011 Reliability and Service Survey and also employ EPU technology which makes them 40% more energy efficient.

ASUS will begin the 3rd phase of desktop partner meets in India and will be heading to Midnapore, Bardhaman, Kochi, hiruvananthapuram and Coimbatore in September. The 4th and final phase will conclude in Q4 the cities for which are yet to be decided.
