Fujitsu announces the new 2012 portfolio of LIFEBOOK notebooks for business users, refreshing and extending Fujitsu’s versatile lineup to meet the needs of a wide range of professionals throughout the CEMEA&I region. Designed with the latest 3rd generation Intel Core processors and offering innovative feature upgrades, Fujitsu’s 2012 LIFEBOOK portfolio delivers the usability, flexibility and comprehensive connectivity required by ever-changing business requirements and all-day mobile computing.
With an increasingly mobile workforce and evolving workplace norms spurred by megatrends such as the “Consumerization of IT,” professionals require more flexibility in their computing environments and desire more choice to meet their individual needs. This has also given rise to the growing trend of “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) in the corporate workplace.

Fujitsu’s 2012 lineup of LIFEBOOK notebooks has been updated with slim, lightweight models for professionals who require extreme usability and style. Refreshes range from all-round to high-end, and the addition of six new LIFEBOOK models, including two Ultrabooks.

“Convenience for the customer – that’s what we had in mind when we refreshed our mobile portfolio for 2012. Our main focus points were size, weight and design improvements that facilitate mobility and productivity for the business end-user. Due to the great feedback we’ve had in regards to our modular bays, we decided to further emphasize flexibility by extending the options for longer battery runtime and additional hard disk drive capabilities,” observed Mark Wilson, Managing Director, Fujitsu India and Senior Vice President, Fujitsu Technology Solutions.

“With the industry’s first business Ultrabooks we have combined the best of today’s mobile computing technology with the essential security, manageability and connectivity features required by business. Fujitsu’s Ultrabooks add a new offering to our broad LIFEBOOK family and prove that you can have all your critical features innovated in a compelling, ultra-slim mobile computing device,” commented Alok Sharma, Country Manager, Workplace Systems, Fujitsu India.

New models to join the already wide LIFEBOOK family provide professional users with the ultimate choice. Fujitsu is a one-stop-shop for all mobile business computing needs, from ultra-portable 12.1-inch to desktop replacement 17.3-inch models. New for summer 2012 are the all-round LIFEBOOK N532, LH532, AH532, AH552/SL and UH552, the versatile LIFEBOOK UH572 and S792 and the top-of-the-range Ultrabook, the LIFEBOOK U772.

Throughout the range, LIFEBOOK models offer seamless connectivity thanks to optional built-in modules for the latest 4G/LTE networks, meaning that users can stay productive on the move, even when they don’t have access to a Wi-Fi connection.

In addition, the cost-saving versatility of modular bay functionality means that almost all Fujitsu LIFEBOOK notebooks deliver the flexibility required by tight budgets and changing business demands. Users can swap out the optical drive for a second battery or hard disk drive, an innovative bay projector which slots into the optical drive bay, or a blank module to reduce overall weight.
