Lumia smartphones to decide Nokia's future: Analysts

Sunday, 2 September 2012

Everybody knows, Nokia is rapidly losing its ground in the smartphone business, raising speculation that Nokia may soon get acquired by other biggie in the industry.

It is found, world's second-largest cell phone maker is lagging behind in the smartphone race where Apple and Samsung are already going ahead with faster speed. Initially, Nokia phones have won some good reviews, but have had relatively little success than numerous Samsung’s Android powered smartphones and Apple’s iPhone available in the market. Slow sales have so far thwarted Nokia's recovery efforts.

Latest stats revealed, the Finnish handset maker has logged more than 3 billion Euros in operating losses in the last 18 months, leading to a job cut of 10,000 employees.

Analysts believe, Microsoft’s Windows 8 based Lumia smartphones, which Nokia is supposed to unveil by next week, are the last ray of hope for Nokia’s recovery.

Analysts further added, if the new Lumia phones do not appeal to users, it could lead Nokia towards a dead road and a serious blow to Microsoft's attempts to mark its footing in the mobile market.

Let’s hope, struggling Nokia will find a new ray of hope in smartphone market with Lumia handsets.
