McAfee has reportedly announced major changes in its research and development (R&D) organization. If reports are to be believed, the latest change will predominantly impact the company’s India office, and, over time, evolve the organization’s approach to product operations on a global level.
As per the latest information, Anand Prahlad, which is currently serving McAfee as Vice President of Engineering for Endpoint Security, will assume the role of Managing Director of Operations at McAfee India. . In his new role, Prahlad will be supported by the leaders of the McAfee India Executive Team in driving the maturity and success of the site. He will also maintain his current role as a VP in the Endpoint Security group.
Prior to joining McAfee two-plus years ago, Prahlad was working with CommVault, where he served the company for sixteen years in product development and was a key member of the executive team that led CommVault through a successful IPO in 2006.
Prahlad shared his views with our team that he is proud and excited to be taking on the role of Head of India Operations. McAfee has one of the best work cultures he has ever seen in my career and some of the smartest people in the industry. It will be an absolute honor to work with the McAfee Executive team, as well as the Leadership team in India, to help take the organization forward.
Presently, McAfee India employs 1450 people across many different job functions. With 29 products and/or projects fully engineered in MIC across 90 teams, McAfee India is the largest R&D group, and the largest site across all of McAfee.
